Standard Supply Service

Non residential customers have the option to purchase their electricity at a fixed rate from an electricity retailer, or at the actual market rate through their Local Distribution Company (LDC). Regardless of your choice, you will always have a safe, reliable supply of electricity.

Standard Supply Service (SSS) is the term used to describe the process of purchasing electricity from an LDC, such as London Hydro. SSS is available to non-residential customers who are connected to London Hydro’s distribution system, and ensures they are supplied with electricity. You are a Standard Supply Service customer if:

• You have done nothing or decided not to sign a contract with a retailer
• You have been refused supply by a retailer
• You have requested London Hydro to supply you electricity

For eligible customers, the electricity price may be 5.0 cents per kilowatt hour for the first 750 kWh and 5.9 cents for any additional consumption; for retailer contract customers, the price is as stated on the retailer contract. Rates may be subject to change from time to time.
