London hydro’s operations centre

London Hydro operates one of the most advanced monitoring systems for tracking potential problems across its distribution network. Controlled through the Operations Centre, the system is designed to enable London Hydro to maintain the safe, secure and reliable delivery of service to residential and business customers.

• The system monitors and controls the electrical network 24 hours a day, immediately reporting abnormal conditions from our remote terminal units in our substations and other key locations.
• The system is also used to transfer loads from feeder to feeder so London Hydro crews can safely and effectively complete routine electrical maintenance or construction.
