Our Budget Billing Service is a smart way to tailor your electricity bill to your monthly budget.

Under a Budget Billing Service, London Hydro will 'balance' your monthly electricity costs over the course of a year, so you will pay about the same amount each month. Best of all, there is no cost for signing up for London Hydro's Budget Billing Service.

Here's how it works

We estimate your next 12 months of consumption based on usage during the previous year.
To keep your bill as accurate as possible, we will review your Budget Billing Plan every six months and, if necessary, adjust your monthly payment up or down to match the amount of electricity used.
Then, on the annual anniversary date of your plan, we will 'true-up' or settle your bill to the actual amount of electricity consumed in your home. This means you will receive a bill with either a debit or a credit balance which 'clears' your account before the next annual budget period begins.

Budget Billing enables you to better budget your expenses and avoid price spikes in your bill.

If you would like an estimate of your monthly Budget Billing amount for electricity before you sign up for this service, please call our Customer Service Department at (519) 661-5503. They can provide you with an estimate of your monthly electricity costs for the upcoming year on the spot.

Note: Budget Billing is only available to customers who remain on Regulated Price Plan with London Hydro. If you choose to sign a contract with an electricity retailer, you will not be eligible for our Budget Billing Service.
