Standard Supply Service

Non-residential customers have the option to purchase their electricity at a fixed rate from an energy retailer, or at the actual market rate available through their Local Distribution Company (LDC). Regardless of your choice, you will always have a safe, reliable supply of electricity.

Standard Supply Service (SSS) is the term used to describe the process of purchasing electricity from a LDC such as London Hydro. SSS is available for non-residential customers who are connected to London Hydro's distribution system and ensures that they are supplied with electricity. You are a Standard Supply Service customer if:

1. you are a non-residential customer who has not signed a contract with a retailer
2. you have been refused supply by a retailer
