London, ON - London Hydro will provide $250,000 in 2020, to the London LEAP Program to help customers in these trying times that are having difficulty paying their electricity bills.

The LEAP program is distributed by the Salvation Army Centre of Hope and provides assistance to customers.

“We understand that these are difficult times for customers, and given the current extraordinary issue, it is possible that more customers may need assistance this year,” says Vinay Sharma, CEO.

London Hydro had announced earlier this week that they were extending the disconnection moratorium until June 17, 2020, and yesterday the Ontario Energy Board directed all LDCs to extend it until July 31, 2020. Customers are encouraged to keep in contact with the utility to make payment arrangements, which can be quickly done through the website, and there is no need to talk to someone on the phone.

Flexible payment arrangements are accepted. Paperless billing is the best way to keep track of your account. Visit londonhydro.com to register for MyLondonHydro and to manage your account and payment arrangements online.
