London Hydro Recognized by Canada’s Safest Employers for Best Wellness Program

London, Ontario – London Hydro is proud to announce it has been named the recipient of the 2025 Canada’s Safest Employers Kii Health Award for Best Wellness Program.

Presented by Canadian Occupational Safety, the award recognizes organizations that excel in promoting physical, mental, and social well-being in the workplace. It’s awarded to companies that create programs fostering resilience, engagement, and a culture where employees can thrive.

For London Hydro, this recognition highlights a growing commitment to putting people first, not just through safety, but through holistic wellness. Over the past several years, the utility has reimagined its internal wellness offerings to support employees in every aspect of their health journey.

Today, London Hydro’s Wellness Program includes everything from on-site fitness resources and personalized health coaching to themed wellness weeks focused on mental health, mindfulness, and seasonal well-being. Employees are encouraged to take part in community-minded initiatives such as the Push-Up Challenge, which raised more than $11,000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association, and to make use of a refreshed corporate gym and weekly wellness coaching sessions.
