This interactive map is designed to provide transparent, accessible information about electrical grid capacity across Ontario.


Note: This map provides an estimated overview of the available load and DER hosting capacity within London Hydro's service territory. It is designed to support early-stage planning for new electrical services, multi-charger EV installations, and similar projects. Actual capacity availability may vary and is subject to detailed engineering review and connection requirements.

Informational Purpose & No Guarantee of Accuracy: The Capacity Map is for informational purposes only. Customers should not make decisions based solely on the Capacity Map. It is provided to identify areas where interconnections could be added, which may require fewer significant modifications to the distribution system. It does not guarantee available capacity on the distribution system. The information displayed is approximate, subject to change, and provided on an "as is" basis without promises regarding accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Users must verify the information with London Hydro and seek professional guidance before making any decisions based on the Capacity Map. A formal study is required to determine actual available capacity, interconnection feasibility, cost, and timelines, all at the customer’s expense.

External Considerations & Permitting: Interconnection feasibility is subject to regulatory requirements, permitting approvals, and third-party considerations. Customers must comply with all applicable regulations and approvals. Interconnection availability may be affected by external factors such as existing infrastructure constraints and zoning laws.

Limitation of Liability: Users use the Capacity Map entirely at the user’s own risk. London Hydro disclaims all express, implied, statutory, or other warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. London Hydro shall not be held liable for any inaccuracies, errors, omissions, or damages (direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or otherwise) arising from the use of the Capacity Map.

Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless London Hydro, its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from any third-party claims, demands, losses, damages, or liabilities (including legal fees) arising from or related to the user’s actions related to the Capacity Map, regardless of whether London Hydro is found negligent, grossly negligent, or otherwise at fault.
